A Soldier's Life: Diary of a Joseph Plumb Martin
This is a listening activity designed for use with seventh graders during the study of the novel My Brother Sam is Dead (Christopher Collier and James Lincoln Collier). We read the novel in our integrated English/Social Studies classroom during our unit on the American Revolution. While it resembles the listening/note taking part of the NYS ELA test, there are other elements included as well. The audio piece, student handouts, and a written copy of the audio part are included for your use.
